Samsung may have released the Galaxy Tab Pro and Galaxy Note Pro tablets onto the market in recent weeks, but we are just potentially days away from Samsung officially unveiling two new models in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S range.
We already told you about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, which is on the way with specs including a AMOLED display screen with octa-core Exynos 5420 processor and a display resolution of 2560×1600 pixels.
An Galaxy Tab S 8.4 tablet is also on the way though, with Samsung expected to officially confirm both slates in an event next month – reportedly right after Apple has finished up with WWDC 2014 which is ironic.
What we wanted to talk about though is potential new features of both these tablets that may feature influence from the popular Galaxy S5 smartphone. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and the 8.4 may be featuring the same fingerprint sensor that is located on the Galaxy S5.
This is interesting as we could see the next iPad, thought to be the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with a touch ID fingerprint scanner as well. It’s obviously not the first time that we have seen the same features going back and forth between Apple and Samsung devices and it won’t be the last either.
Aside from a fingerprint scanner, we could also see the Ultra Power Saving Mode from the Galaxy S5 carried over to both new tablets as well. The Galaxy S5 is one of the best smartphones on the market right now, so it can only be a good thing to hear that some features are coming to Samsung’s tablets too.
Will you consider buying one of Samsung’s new tablets now that you know it will borrow some Galaxy S5 features? Both could be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
