Pokemon X and Y Mega Evolutions for free

By Alan Ng - Apr 22, 2014

We have some more Pokemon X and Y news to share now and it may cause further frustration to everyone playing in Europe and the US. Everybody is waiting for the Pokemon X and Y Volcanion and Diancie events, but we can confirm that another event for Japanese players will be taking priority first.

Favoritism with the Japanese market has been a familiar story with Pokemon X and Y so far, but then again it has always been the case with developers Game Freak showing their loyalty towards their home customers.

This week, we can tell you that another Pokemon X and Y event is on the way, allowing Japanese players to get their hands on some free mega evolutions. The event will start next month, with a potential 6 Pokemon X and Y Pokemon with Mega evolutions up for grabs.

Without further ado we can confirm that the six Pokemon included in the giveaway are Gyrados, Scizor, Kangaskhan, Gengar, Tyranitar and Mawile. Each of these Pokemon will be level 50 and each will come with their Mega stones needed to transform – Gengarite, Gyradosite and so on.

If you are lucky enough to take advantage of this, the start date for this event is May 10 and will run through until June 22, with every week offering a different Pokemon – just go into a Pokemon Center in Japan to claim your prize.

For our readers here reading this, what are your thoughts on hearing that the Japanese community are getting yet another event? Don’t forget that this is coming after the Darkrai and Diancie giveaways in the country.

Is it time for Game Freak to extend the love to regions outside of Japan, once and for all?

I think I know why this is happening to the US and Europe. Remember before the game was out? About a week before the game’s release, a few stores in both the US and Europe were releasing the game before the worldwide release date, ruining the first Pokemon game to be released worldwide. I do not remember hearing about it in Japan, but I think that this GameFreak’s way of punishing the US and Europe.

Im getting of game developers that favor their home state. To me if it was if it wasnt for everyone in all countries they wouldnt have sold 12 millions cooy.

Goddammit, why can’t they send some of this our way? With the whole global Link thing, it’s not hard to send the same events here.

Isn’t it obvious? It’s pay back for Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
