GTA V Jetpack DLC after code

By Alan Ng - Apr 20, 2014

It has been a GTA V secret for a long time, but finally it looks like we may see light at the end of the tunnel with regards to the highly anticipated GTA V Jetpack mystery that everyone has been trying to solve since release.

If you have been playing GTA V endlessly, you’ll know that there were major rumors suggesting that the GTA V Jetpack was the reward for completing the GTA V Mount Chillad secrets involving UFOs and other strange activity.

To this date, we still haven’t seen evidence of the Jetpack coming to the game, until now that is. A user has looked into the code of the game and revealed that Rockstar has recently inserted some files that specifically reference the Jetpack in GTA V.

We can tell you that Rockstar has made these changes since GTA V 1.12, which is the last and current update for the game which arrived with the Capture Creator content as part of the ongoing Spring updates.

Confirmation of the Jetpack files can be seen below in the video, while if you need some further proof – take a look at some of the code that was uncovered recently for the game:

DRIVEBY_JETPACK // Setting it so you can shoot from the JETPACK just like parachute
.?AVCGadgetJetpack@@ // the actual jetpack just like parachute.”

At the moment, there are no details on whether the jetpack is hidden in GTA V at the moment. Considering that Rockstar has put this inside the GTA V 1.12 code though, we can only assume that the GTA V Jetpack will be unlocked via DLC at a later stage.

Perhaps it will come with the GTA V Heists release date, or perhaps Rockstar are planning to launch it as micro-DLC this Summer. Either way, we think it is fantastic that it now looks like Rockstar are giving in to fan demand with the Jetpack.

This looks very real so let us know what you think about it and the method in which you’ll need to unlock the GTA V Jetpack. We hope that Rockstar includes a side task to get the Jetpack, rather than a straight up purchase.

Perhaps they should make a fort zancudo heist and you have to use the bunker elevator to raid the place where the jetpack is held, like in the gta sa mission. And when you complete that mission, you unlock the jetpack in inventory.

to be honest if they release it as a DLC i’ll be alittle upset. But if they released it to people to who Pre-Ordered the game that would be nice. But it would be nice to fly it now since someone found the source code.

You’re not going to continue to get unique things because you pre-ordered a game. You shouldn’t have pre-ordered it if you weren’t content with the initial arrangement, no one made you buy it and Rockstar doesn’t need to try and please you while making everyone else unhappy.

Although the idea that this new set of coding was applied secretly by Rockstar via version 1.12, is the source of this video even credible? You never know now a’days with all these hack videos poppin up and what not. Just saying. As for now im staying with the assumption that the Jetpack is a myth. Hell if Rockstar did add the code, it was for code junkies like this guy to find it and fuel the fire that the internet set ablaze.

Chr0m3 x MoDz has proven himself a valuable member of the GTA 5 community – I usually wouldn’t trust YT videos either, but I’ve seen his post on se7ensins as well. Like always, take these news with a hint of skepticism, but at least the source is credible.

Good its finally in the game but should have been their from the start another let down in this flawed game.

    • AlexXD94

The code shows that it was already there from the start…think before you write.

Read the post before you write what the guy said was completely true “added in 1.12″……
