Galaxy S5 deflation leads to Note 4 eagerness

It was early last month when we looked at the excitement factor between the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Note 4 because at that time we were unsure as to the specs of either handset. However, since then we know the design and features of the S5, and many of us have been left feeling a little deflated.

What we find a real shame is that the Galaxy S5 was promised to make use of an all-new design philosophy, which we assumed would be a metal or carbon finish, along with a possible curved display. It’s this deflation why some potential S5 buyers have been put off and are now playing the waiting game.

We’ve heard from several Product Reviews readers, and they have said “Samsung have let us down yet again.” While others said, “I’m not even going to bother with the S5, bring on the Note 4.”

It’s that last comment that seems to be a general consensus, but then who says Samsung will not do the same with the Note 4? There is no saying that the Note 4 will be evolutionary rather than revolutionary, although it would seem some people are prepared to wait it out and see.

This is a tough decision to make, especially when there will be so many other new handsets out by the time Samsung release the Galaxy Note 4. Two handsets that come to mind are the new HTC One and the iPhone 6, which as you know will be getting a larger display – well that’s the hope.

We know that it is silly to compare an iPhone to a Note handset seeing as though their size difference means they cater for different markets. However, in certain circumstances people forget about this, and some people refusing to buy the S5 and waiting for the Note 4 is a fine example of this. Having said that, there is nothing wrong with comparing the two in terms of excitement levels from prospected buyers.

Has the Galaxy S5 left you feeling deflated, and if so has this now forced you to play the waiting game for the Note 4 instead?
