Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster advert awakens a familiar feel

By Marlon Votta - Mar 7, 2014

With only a couple of weeks to go before the Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster is released it seems Square Enix are treating us with a short commercial that gives fans an opportunity to take a walk down memory lane.

The upcoming remastered compilation of Final Fantasy X and X-2 for the PS3 and Vita was announced back in 2011 as part of a 10th anniversary special. While the game has already been available for a few months in Japan we are looking forward to the imminent arrival on the 18th March in North America and 21st March in Europe.

Below this post we have embedded the new commercial and although it only last 30 seconds, the video awakens a familiar feel among enthusiasts as two celebrated adventures are now wonderfully remastered.

In other relevant news, we previously highlighted Final Fantasy 7 remake rumours holding firm as an insider from Square gives us the impression this game will indeed go ahead, despite the negatives being reported.

According to an anonymous source the Final Fantasy 7 remake could make an appearance in the future regardless of worries about the scale of the original and the budget. Yoshinori Kitase from Square Enix has previously remarked about his concerns, so we are now waiting for official confirmation to clear things up.

If you are a big fan of Final Fantasy games we would like to know your opinion on a possible Final Fantasy 7 remake, and what you think about the visit down memory lane through the short video below.

Square Enix should do an HD remaster of FF7 for the PS4 and sell it for $99 at release. I’d buy my copy. Maybe two.

  • Sigh

FF10? Who cares! What waste of effort in making an HD of a FF game. Why not FF7? The most popular over rated highly favored FF that I have never played yet want to. Satan sits at square enix making that dream not come true.

How do you figure it’s overrated if you’ve never played it?

thing is they know they’d make rediculous cash if they remake 7 but something like that……needs to be executed perfectly

FF VII remake is never going to happen. ( I say that so if they never do I won’t be disappointed but if they do I will sh** myself).
