We do find it amazing at how much performance both the Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One have, yet gamers still long for games that won’t even register a blip when being run. One game that springs to mind is Minecraft because we know this title will not help show off the true power behind these new consoles, although the game is still demanded by PS4 and Xbox One owners.
This is the same story with another game, Worms Battlegrounds. This new title has now been given a tentative release date of later this year. However, rumor has it that the Xbox One version of Worms Battlegrounds could be released as early as next month.
Team 17 has yet to offer any more details on this, although we do have a feeling that the next-gen version of Worms Battlegrounds will involve microtransactions. Having said that, Team 17 is unlikely to publicize this feature just yet – if we are correct of course.
Going back to what we said about the performance of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Worms Battlegrounds isn’t going to be a simple port and so there is a chance that this game will be the best version yet and will take better advantage of having more performance to hand.
A much-needed Worms Battlegrounds feature – Since fans of the game first learned that it could come to the PS4 and Xbox One there has been a general consensus for one feature, and that is greater customization. Whatever happens, this next version of Worms needs to take a massive leap in order to appeal to fans.
