Nexus 10 2014 with dream Android 4.5 features

By Alan Ng - Jan 21, 2014

With Google still remaining silent on the Nexus 10 2014 release date, many consumers are wondering if the tablet really is still on the way. We’ve heard plenty of rumors in between and even some whispers from our own sources suggesting that Google is ready to release the device to the masses.

The big excitement that is brewing now among Android fanatics though, is not because of the new Nexus 10 2014 specs that will land, but because of the fact that the Nexus 10 2014 model could also be Google’s very first device to run on Android 4.5.

Given the unprecedented delay that we have seen so far for the Nexus 10, giving consumers a new version of Android could be the ideal way to silence all the doubters.

We have been told numerous times by our readers that the Nexus 10 2 delay has forced them to move on and consider other tablets, primarily the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. Consumers are feeling hurt right now and it is up to Google to put it right.

Android 4.5 with brand new features could be the key to success we feel, so what would you like to see from a new version? We wouldn’t want to jump the gun with any potential names, but just to throw it out there we have seen Android 4.5 Lollipop, Android 4.5 Lime Pie (yes, really) and one that we really like, Android 4.5 Licorice mentioned.

Would you like Android 4.5 features to include a more transparent interface, with an emphasis on cosmetic changes rather than a major overhaul?

Android users love the feel of Android 4.4 Kitkat at the moment, especially Galaxy Note 3 users who are just receiving their update.

As we await any kind of information from Google regarding the new Nexus 10 release, let us know what Android 4.5 features you would like to see, assuming that the Nexus 10 2014 will be the first tablet to test run the software before any other Android device.

Full-screen casting/mirroring is the only *must-have* feature request that I have. If Google doesn’t implement this, then I’m going the Miracast route.

Oh my goodness. I could not sleep the past few nights because I could not stop dreaming about what new amazing features android 4.5 will bring. The amazing feature set of 4.3 like smart blue tooth or better auto complete really made my life better.

Just wanted to say that Nestle, who owns Kit Kat, also owns the candy Laffy Taffy. Could Google double down with their partnership with Nestle and name the next version Laffy Taffy?

Bobkat, your comment was more informative than this article of nonsense speculation. Kudos to you

Why would the 10 still be on the play store site at all and say “check back soon” if it’s not being restocked or updated? I’d think something is in the works.
Also about the supposed “possible hoax photo” why is it the only photo of a new 10 that has front speakers, a feature the current 10 has now. EVleaks did not say it was a hoax but that it possibly was. Maybe it isn’t a hoax.

They did the same thing with nexus 4. All it said was check back. Lol.
