With the Dyson DC59 Animal due for release in a couple of weeks time, we thought you might want to see a review of the small, yet powerful vacuum cleaner in the hope of shedding some light to see if it is actually worth its price. Not much has changed to the exterior of Dyson’s handheld vacuum cleaner, but there are some enhancements to its innards.
The Digital Slim DC59 Animal is the most powerful from the range yet, although this extra power comes at a price. The reason for this is because you have the special max button that gives around 3x the suction power over other handheld vacuums on the market, but you only have around 6 minutes before the battery drains.
However, if you just use the new Animal model in its standard power mode, then the battery life of the DC59 is around 26 minutes, a full 6 minutes more than its predecessor.
Below you will see a review of the Dyson DC59 Animal, where CNET looks at why this is the most expensive model yet, and if it is worth paying the price, seeing as it’s twice as much as other models in the range.
Overall, the DC59 is pretty impressive, well that’s what the reviewer says, but then again what would you expect for $500. No one should have to pay that price for a handheld vacuum cleaner, it’s like they are the Apple of the small home appliance market.
