2014 Santa Tracker countdown live, teases 23 games

The official NORAD Santa tracker for 2014 is now live and so gives children something to look forward to, as they get to see the progress Father Christmas and his Elves are making ready for the big day — well the night before really.

We can already see the countdown to Christmas at the bottom right of this page, and while it still seems a long time away for you young children, it’s not for your parents. They want to make sure it is the most magical time of the year for you, and what’s better, you will soon be off school as well for a couple of weeks.

Visiting the official NORAD Tracks Santa website you will be met with a menu of options down the left, these consist of the main categories Earth and North Pole, and the sub categories, Games, Movies, Music, Library and Gift Shop. However, there is one final main category at the bottom, and that is NORAD HQ.

There are 23 games in all, although all but one are currently locked but will become unlocked each day leading up to Christmas. The first game is titled ‘BACK TO SANTALAND: CHRISTMAS IS COMING’ and for some reason it would not open in Safari and so had to use Firefox. The game is a lot like Candy Crush or Bejeweled and can either be played through the browser or even downloaded via iTunes or Google Play.

Google has its own Santa Tracker website, although that service is not yet live but the Tracking Santa one is.
