2014 Mercedes C63 AMG Edition 507 features more performance

A few days ago we reported that the 2014 Corvette Stingray convertible was going to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show rather than Chicago because the company wants the car to appeal to the European market, which is just what Mercedes-Benz must be thinking because they will also debut the 2014 Mercedes C63 AMG Edition 507 in Switzerland.

Looking over the 2014 Mercedes C63 AMG Edition 507 features we can see that it’s all about offering more performance, and as the name would suggest the 6.2 liter V8 engine will be increased to 507 horsepower from 451 from the standard AMG version — if you can say AMG is standard. What this extra power translates to a 0-60 mph time of a gut wrenching 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 174 mph.

This more powerful model will come in either sedan or coupe (also a wagon for European customers) and the C63 AMG Edition 507 will be released sometime in the summer. Having that extra power is not hiding away for you to guess either because AMG feels that people need to know just how fast this new version is, so felt compelled to give it a more aggressive curb appeal as well.

One of the first things that you will notice are those five-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, which comes in a choice of two colors, matte black or titanium gray. Those vented holes on the hood makes it look like a dragon ready to shoot fire from its nostrils. The 2014 Mercedes C63 AMG Edition 507 interior also carries on the sportier look and feel with a sports inspired steering wheel and a mix of red and black accents all the way through.

As yet there are no pricing details, but we should know more come March 5, 2013, which is when the Geneva Motor Show begins. More details in this press release.
