There’s a number of ways to learn about the 2014 Kentucky Derby contenders and their past performances, which includes taking a look at the official Kentucky Derby iPhone and Android app. We took a look at the official website that lists links to both iTunes and Google play for the apps, although it seems these apps have been removed thanks not working anymore and we are yet to understand why they were taken down.

You can see the link to the Kentucky Derby iPhone app here and also the Google play link right here, although as you can see both apps have been removed for some reason and you’ll receive a “not found” message. These apps delivered the event line up, post start time, and a lot more but there is other apps you might want to try.


Derby Bred app for iPad and iPhone – another option is this app on iTunes that is said to deliver complete 2014 Kentucky Derby coverage with insight for contenders and past performances. You will find interviews, race video and photos, pedigrees for all horses, a history of results right back to 1875, and a lot more within the app according to its iTunes page.

The downside with this choice is cost, and the developer has priced the Derby Bred app at $4.99 but then it offers a lot more insight than many other options and considering the official app isn’t working then it might just be your best choice if you don’t mind spending on apps. We should note that this app isn’t designed to have a dedicated view for iPad, so while the iTunes page lists it as working with iPad, this would only be an extension of the iPhone design. Version 1.15 landed yesterday, and offers an update for 2014 Kentucky Derby and OAKS contenders.

Going online for Kentucky Derby 2014 contenders past performances – if you don’t need a totally mobile option, then you can find out some in-depth background on horse names and their history by looking online at certain blogs and mainstream media.
