2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray accident sparks handling debate

General Motors is desperate for as much media attention as possible for the 2014 C7 Chevy Corvette Stingray, but we are not sure that having one laying in a ditch is part of their marketing campaign. Can you remember the new blue Corvette Stingray that has been doing the rounds all over the Internet? Well it looks as though this is the same one that has been involved in a minor accident.

This is not the first and will not be the last car that we see in a ditch, but it’s painful to see when it is such a new car, one that is so important to GM. While this could have been a simple case of driver error, it does make you wonder if there are in concerns into how well the car can handle?

The most likely reason is that some journalist was taking the C7 for a test drive and found that they pushed it a little too hard. However, we should not assume anything about this image, although suggesting that the handling is not as good as we first thought is not a nice positive prospect for the car.

There are also some conspiracy theorists that would have you believe that GM did this on purpose to grab more media attention, but because this looks to be a public highway this would be highly illegal. Wonder if we’ll see the convertible version in a ditch next, then we will think it’s part of a marketing campaign?

One thing we do know though, the 2014 C7 Chevy Corvette Stingray looks far better on the road than it does on stage with all that lighting, which as we know can often take away the true appearance of a car.

Is there any evidence at all to think this is something other than driver error?  The wall?  The color blue?
