There’s been a lot of speculation as to the price of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and we’re glad to see General Motors has finally decided to divulge the pricing details for this new model. However, it’s clear that the justification of the cost of this new model is wide-ranging.
The 2014 Chevrolet SS price starts at $44,470, including a destination charge of $995. For those that do not know, GM has referred to this car as a four-door Corvette, and so you’ll want to know that the SS is just $5,000 less than the C6 and $7,500 less than the upcoming C7.
It’s clear that this is a lot to pay for the 2014 Chevy SS, but then you are getting a lot of car for your money, such as a 425 horsepower engine, which has enough power to propel the SS from 0-60 mph in about 5 seconds. However, it’s not just about brute force, as the new vehicle from Chevrolet has more than enough toys inside to justify that price.
We’re sure there are some people out there who would say that this is a lot of money to pay for a Chevy sedan, and would need to be around $10,000 less in order for them to even consider it. However, there will be others who will disagree with this and say that what other sedan will have the same kind of power for a similar price?
Then there is the 2014 Chevrolet SS interior specs, such as a BOSE system and heated/cooled seats, as well as those exterior touches, such as the huge wheels, Brembo brakes, and dual exhausts to give it a nice tone.
Do you think Chevy is onto a winner with the 2014 SS, or do you think that it is ugly and has an outdated look, as well as being overpriced?
