2014 Audi SQ5 price for US spec is favorable

Audi has been keeping themselves busy with several cars in the pipeline, but it’s the 2014 Audi SQ5 US spec version that we are most interested in today, as the German car maker has released the pricing for the new range, and those eagle-eyed readers out there will be able to see that there are a few changes over the European model.

The American market has been eager to get a sportier version of the Q5, as some consumers could consider the current model bland. However, in order to get this better-looking version you will have to pay the price, as it will be several thousand dollars more than the base Q5.

2014 Audi SQ5 price for US spec — The cost of this hot version will be $51,900, plus destination tax, which we have to say is favorable when you consider how much more car you are getting. If you thought driving the standard Q5 was a dream, then you will be in awe of the SQ5, as all the improvements makes for a completely different driving experience.

The 2014 Audi SQ5 engine of choice is the 3.0-liter supercharged V6, which has now been tuned to produce 354 horsepower, which is an increase of 82 horsepower over the standard 3-liter engine used in the 3.0-liter Prestige model. The Audi SQ5 performance will be 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds and a limited top speed of 155 mph.

Styling of the SQ5 will be very different to that of the standard model, such as revised bumpers, Aluminum roof rails, leather interior, sports seats, and a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen entertainment system. You can see more details on the 2014 Audi SQ5 in the video embedded below.

It’s hard to judge how well this new model will sell, but we have to wonder why some of you would choose this over the A6 or the S4? While it’s clear that there is a market for such vehicles, making sportier versions does defeat the object of what they are meant for.
