HTC One Android 4.4.2 Sense update signals issues

It looks like we finally have some good news for those of you with a carrier version of the HTC One. An Android 4.4.2 update is on the way within weeks, but now the update could be coming with a further treat – a HTC One Android 4.4.2 Sense update as well.

As most of you are well aware, Android 4.4.2 is now available for those with a HTC One handset that is unlocked and not tied to any carrier. This includes the HTC One Google Play Edition, which is another indication of Google’s promise to update stock versions of their devices before any other variants.

Now, attention has turned to carrier versions of the HTC One in the US and Europe, as it looks like the Android 4.4.2 update could be ready for you some time in January. Not for the first time though, the HTC One Verizon Android 4.4.2 update could be the last to the party, although this won’t be a surprise to you any more.

When the update finally does arrive, consumers will be hoping that some of the existing problems on the handset have been solved. These include those complaining about a camera purple tint on handsets after installing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

So far, this appears to be a minor issue – but still frustrating enough for users to speak out about it and request a fix on Android 4.4.2.
