Pokemon X and Y new legendary rumors for 2014

By Alan Ng - Dec 19, 2013

It’s been a while since we last wrote about Pokemon X and Y, but we could have something which may interest those who are looking to see more new legendary Pokemon in both games. Rumors are spreading suggesting that Game Freak may be adding some of the previous legendary Pokemon from older games, into Pokemon X and Y.

We’ve spoken in the past about the fact that Game Freak are keeping fans waiting for the first official Pokemon X and Y event since the game released on October 12. We had the mini event at Walmart which offered serial codes for Garchomp and Scizor with new copies – but it wasn’t a global event so it didn’t really count.

This week, images have surfaced with the possibility of Game Freak adding the legendary Pokemon from Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald into Pokemon X and Y. If it turns out to be correct, a Pokemon X and Y event could unlock the likes of Rayquaza, Groudon and Kyogre in Pokemon X and Y.

You can see the images here courtesy of Tumblr. As you can see, these are 3DS models of the Pokemon in question, so it’s different to what we previously saw for the respective Pokemon in their respective Pokemon games.

Is Groudon coming to the game in 2014?

Is Groudon coming to the game in 2014?

We all know that new content is coming to the game, but would Rayquaza, Groudon and Kyogre make you happy, or are you expecting something better? These images could have surfaced as a result of hacking much like the Volcanion, Diancia and Hoopa situation – so bear that in mind.

Let’s hope Game Freak has some good news for us soon. Give us your reaction to the images and let us know what you want to see in terms of new content in 2014.

The pictures shown are not screenshots from the newly posted Pokemon Bank trailer, I have watched the trailer numerous times to verify this. However, I would find it very unlikely that they would release these Pokemon as an event for X and Y, let alone as a first event. I believe fans, including myself, would be extremely disappointed if this were the case. I’m sure that we will see some new Pokemon released, hopefully in the near future, and you can all stop calling this poor reporter a dumb ass as it is not his fault.

It is his fault though. If he is going to report on something professionally, he should actually be researched and know what he is talking about. And he should also use correct grammar: “We’ve spoke” should be “We’ve spoken.” He also spelled “possibility” incorrectly. This is extremely lazy journalism and readers deserve better than this from a news service.

Although I can somewhat agree to your argument, you have just contradicted your own statement by using bad grammar. “he should actually be researched”? I would have though that should be either “it should be researched” or “he should be researching”. Just saying…

Erm, these are screen grabs from the Pokémon Bank trailer. All Pokémon have 3D sprites in the game data, that’s how the games work. You can own every Pokémon if you transfer them from Pokémon Bank. That includes these three plus every other of the 700-odd Pokémon.

You dumbass. Of course they’re in the game; they, and every other Pokemon from previous generations, will be transferable from earlier games via Pokemon Bank. Pokemon Bank will open on Christmas. It’s no surprise to anyone but you.

I think thats fantastic, but if its an event, that will be a bummer because you might need a certain item to unlock it
