Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids review for Christmas

By Alan Ng - Dec 9, 2013

While the standard Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 may be getting rave reviews for its hardware performance at a very reasonable price, you may want to know that there’s also another version of the device that has been specifically built for young children to use.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids model is gaining popularity and could be an ideal gift this Christmas. What is good about this version though, is that it features two different interface modes – one for you to use and the other for your children to use.

You can freely switch between the two and toggle settings to ensure that your kids are viewing the right material at all times – even being able to set a duration for when the Kids interface is active and useable.

Now we want to focus on the Kids interface, as we have already featured the normal Galaxy Tab 3 on several occasions – which you can read about here and here. The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet offers a selection of pre-loaded applications, such as Toy Story Smash It and Fruit Ninja.

Hardware specifications are the same as the standard model, so you’ll be getting performance from a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 3 megapixel rear camera and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the OS.

Another big difference with the kids model, is that it comes with a colorful case bumper, which will protect the device from damage when your children are using it. For a more detailed insight as to what this version offers, we think you will find the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids review videos below helpful.
