Battlefield 4 problems Vs DLC priority highlighted

By Alan Ng - Dec 5, 2013

While some Battlefield 4 players are enjoying the China Rising DLC expansion that has just been released for premium members, it’s clear that a lot of other players are furious with DICE due to the ongoing Battlefield 4 problems.

All platforms continue to suffer from various issues, with game crashes obviously the most severe as they lead to a loss of stats for that particular round – you can imagine the anger it causes if you happen to be performing well.

The good news, is that DICE are aware of the problems in Battlefield 4. The developer has sent out word, letting everyone know that they will not be starting work on the next DLC expansion until these problems are fixed.

The next expansion that is due is Naval Strike, with DICE giving that a release schedule for Spring 2014. However, this won’t release until all problems are fixed in the game first, as a spokesman tells Polygon below:

“The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we’re not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel their pain. We will not stop until this is right.”

While this comment is refreshing to hear, it still doesn’t alleviate from the fact that these problems are ongoing as we speak. Hopefully DICE will take action and deploy another patch over the weekend to try to improve things.
