Nintendo 3DS XL Luigi Limited Edition unboxing review

By Alan Ng - Dec 2, 2013

Earlier on this month we highlighted the release of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds along as a perfect game for buying a Nintendo 3DS XL console. Now with Cyber Monday upon us, it’s again time to look at some rather tempting 3DS XL offers, this time in relation to everyone’s best friend Luigi.

For those that don’t know yet, Nintendo also has a special 3DS XL Luigi Limited Edition console in the pipeline and it is now available for purchase across most regions after originally showing up in Japan.

The design is rather unique too, featuring multiple silhouettes of Luigi as Nintendo celebrates the 30th anniversary of Mario’s brother in arms. You may see this Nintendo 3DS XL Luigi Special Edition elsewhere for $199, but we’ve spotted that retailer Best Buy is offering $179 for it during Cyber Monday.

Aside from the console, the package also contains a pre-installed Mario and Luigi Dream Team game as well – allowing you to jump straight into the action. There’s also a 4GB card that comes inside the box, so you’ll have plenty of storage space for your games.

We’ve included an Nintendo 3DS XL Luigi Limited Edition unboxing review below, to give you a better look at what you’ll be buying, should you choose to pick one up today.

That design is lovely for sure, but would you pick it ahead of say, the Pokemon X and Y or Zelda: A Link Between World exclusive 3DS consoles?
