Battlefield 4 China Rising DLC update

By Alan Ng - Nov 29, 2013

We have an update on Battlefield 4 to give you now, especially those that are looking forward to the Battlefield 4 China Rising DLC release date. We previously had some of the map names leak out, but now it looks like images showing some of the map content has been released prematurely as well.

We say prematurely, as China Rising is not supposed to be out until December 3 officially. Just like the BF4 Second Assault pack which is live early for Xbox One owners, you will need to have Battlefield 4 Premium if you want to enjoy China Rising early.

Most of you will already have access to the game via pre-ordering, with DICE promising four new maps, 5 new weapons, 2 vehicles and 2 new gadgets to use. Previously we revealed the map names of China Rising here, but there is one correction as the map previously known as Taklamakan has now become Silk Road instead.

As for the update, head to Reddit here to see the 4 new map layouts ahead of schedule. Once you are there, you can find the images of the maps – but you need to click the tools menu and select full resolution. From there you will be able to see a much closer look at the four maps within China Rising – and ideally get a good heads-up on where the capture points will be.

It’s a nice way to get introduced to the layout before December 3 lands. We’ll update you if we have some gameplay early as well, we have a feeling some will turn up.
