New Nexus 10 2 release date news is fake

By Peter Chubb - Nov 15, 2013

Many blogs are reporting a story that seems to be fake, this is why Ubergizmo pulled it, although those other websites are still running with the story and linking to a source known for reporting news that is not true and as such does not care about misleading people.

The story in question was in regard to the new Nexus 10 2 release date, but it was obvious this news was going to be fake because none of the more reputable tech websites ran with the story. It is for this reason why we wanted to inform you from the start that this release date is not to be trusted.

A story like this does not take too long to spread because the release of the 2013 Nexus 10 is big news, just as it was the Nexus 7 earlier this year.

The fake news report suggested that the Nexus 10 2nd generation would be released on November 21, 2013, which would make it next Thursday. However, if this were the case then Google would have made an announcement by now considering it is so close.

The New Nexus 10 2 design is still a mystery

The New Nexus 10 2 design is still a mystery

We currently have no idea as to when the official Nexus 10 2013 edition release date will be announced, but we know it will not be from the source who started these fake reports earlier this week.

A November release has been on the cards for months because the current Nexus 10 was released on November 13, 2013, and so is now overdue.

We would love to know why Google has yet to make an announcement, unless they are planning to release the next Nexus tablet closer to Black Friday so they can take advantage of more consumers being in stores and so increasing awareness and sales of its new device?

To be honest Google have already missed the boat if they think they can suddenly pull the rabbit out of the hat and persuade people to buy the nexus instead of the iPad .. They should have released details within two days of the iPad being released and that would have stole the thunder and dragged interest to their product … To leave it so long is misguided and very stupid ..( I have the education qualification to quantify the above) … Plus (subject of 7/8″ tablets) why would you make a tablet 1″ larger than a product that is IMHO already head and shoulders above the iPad mini ?? (If you look at the pics of said 8″ tab in the models hands looks a lot like a 7″ tab ??) … Hmm emperors new clothes anyone..!!
