Nexus 5 vs. iPhone 5 in simple concept

By Peter Chubb - Aug 27, 2013

There has been a great deal of debate when it comes to the Nexus 4 successor, because while most rumors suggest it to be the Nexus 5, there have been several conflicting reports suggesting this not to be the case.

Having recently learned that we could see a Nexus 4 version 2, although this could simply be called the new Nexus 4, just as Google did with their 7-inch tablet. Having said that, there is still the prospect of a Nexus 5 release, and some of you will wonder how it will compare to the iPhone 5?

We thought we would feature the Nexus 5 vs. iPhone 5 concept because we came across an image (here) that shows off what the sleek Nexus 5 unibody made from Aluminum and how it would compare in terms of size next to the current iPhone.

It is obvious that some of you will say it is silly to compare a smartphone like the Nexus 5 for two reasons, the first is that it hasn’t been officially announced, and the second it will be a year newer than the iPhone 5.

While the first concern is correct, the second is not because we only wanted to compare what the size difference could be, as you have to remember the fact that the iPhone 5S (if that will be its name) will more than likely come with the same design as the current model.

The Nexus 5 concept specs include a 384 x 2160 IPS display, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 4GG of RAM and upto 32GB of onboard storage. The concept also shows a 13-megapixel camera and a 3000mAh battery, similar to that found in the Galaxy S4.

When the Nexus 4 came out it was pitted against the iPhone 5 heavily, such as Nexus 4 vs. iPhone 5 in diverse review and the Nexus 4 vs. Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5, visuals decide. We now wait in anticipation for the Nexus 5 vs. iPhone 5S and Nexus 5 vs. Galaxy S4 comparison videos.

To help whet your appetite a little we thought we could also include a couple of Nexus 5 concept videos below.

Can people please stop comparing iPhones to Nexus phones! iPhone doesn’t even come close to Android.

When they had written 384×2160 they ment 4k resolution (3840×2160). That’s what I think

MAJOR MISTAKE ON YOUR PART: The Nexus 5 will NEVER have a “384 x 2160 IPS display” — as that would only be 384p. (You always take the lowest value.) Google’s Nexus phones have been HD 720p the last two years, and and are expected to be 1080p this year since all 2013 top tier Androids have graduated to FULL HD 1080p. (By comparison, the iPhone does not even meet minimum HD standards, stuck at 640p).

The Nexus 5, if based on the LG G2, would have a 5.2-inch IPS LCD,Full HD (1920×1080),
    424 PPI display.

I’ve seen the “384 x 2160” Resolution on another site… Total BS. The lowest it will ever be is 720p, but i believe it’ll be at least 1080p. Like you’ve said about the LG G2, I except the Nexus 5 to boost similar specs, if not slightly better… hopefully.
