PS4 Remote features with PS Vita bring fulfillment

We have spoke about the excitement regarding PS4 Remote Play features with the PS Vita over the last few weeks, but now we have another great feature to confirm for you, for those that need a clarification. Leave your PS4 on standby mode and you’ll be able to power up the system and head straight into Remote Play mode using the PS Vita system only.

As most of you will be well aware, this feature was available on the PSP when connecting with the PS3 and many consumers had wondered if the technology would be carried over to ensure that the same feature would be available with the PS4 and PS Vita.

Sony’s popular exec Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed recently in Twitter, stating in black and white that you’ll be able to power on the PS4 in standby mode using the PS Vita. What you also may not be aware of, is that it looks like this feature will also be possible using any WiFi connection – meaning that you can do it away from the home, possibly from any connection anywhere in the world.

During GamesCom, Yoshida also answered a few questions regarding lag on the PS Vita when streaming PS4 games directly. Yoshida has boldly stated that PS4 Remote Play has ‘zero lag’ and if you watched the live demonstration of Assassin’s Creed 4 during GamesCom – you could start to believe this as a fact.

So far, we’ve loved hearing every aspect of Remote Play as it continues to go from strength to strength. Sony just needs to ensure that they stick to their promise of having the majority of PS4 games, supported by PS Vita streaming right out of the box on day one.

How impressed are you with PS4 and PS Vita Remote Play streaming? Will you have a usage for turning on your console with a PS Vita away from the home or not?
