Motorola’s Moto X password Skip

By Marlon Votta - Aug 23, 2013

Motorola Skip is the recently announced feature that allows users of the Moto X to unlock their phone without a password, which is ideal for those of you who would rather refrain from entering in a PIN code numerous times throughout the day. With Motorola Skip, an NFC-enabled magnetic clip gives users the option to unlock their device with just a tap.

At the top of the page we have provided a short video by pocketnowvideo explaining this new feature and the video runs for about 5 minutes highlighting how to use it. While some consumers may regard this as just another novelty, others may question whether this feature could be a bit of a security risk

We generally think it is a good idea, especially for those of you prone to forget your password, and we would love to see this introduced for many other Android phones, although some may feel this defeats the whole purpose of the password and security measures that have been put in place.

Do you think Motorola Skip is just another gimmick? Or would you find this a useful feature? Check out the video below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below the video.
