We have a heads-up for consumers who are still yet to secure a PS4 pre-order in hope of a launch date delivery. You may be biding your time in hope that some incentives become available, but now we have to warn you that there appears to be a deadline in place. It looks like demand has well and truly outpaced supply, with all future orders possibly now shipping after the launch date.
If you have already ordered your PS4, you obviously have nothing to worry about in terms of getting your system on launch day. For everyone else though, word is starting to spread that Monday August 5 could be the last day to order the PS4 if you want to receive one when the system launches.
Otherwise, if you order after this date, you could be hit with a delay that will only see your PS4 ship after the launch period. That’s according to a report from CVG who have apparently been informed of the information by retail sources. If true, you may not want to take the risk and wait around any longer.
When we get to October, it’s almost certain that PS4 stock is going to be very hard to find – the same can probably said for the Xbox One console as well. Both systems seem to be very popular already and it’s going to be a bitter pill to swallow if you miss out on a launch day console simply because you were looking for a further price incentive.
Sony has yet to issue an official statement on the matter, so we’ll have to see what happens on Monday. Let us know if you now plan to order a system over the weekend, to guarantee yourself a PS4 on launch day this Holiday season.
