Fallout 4 brainstorming prompted by official mod

By Alan Ng - Jun 10, 2013

Is Fallout 4 going to be at E3 2013 or not? Bethesda is maintaining their silent tactics as usual, but there is growing speculation that Fallout 4 could end up being the surprise highlight at this year’s expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Even more so after we discovered that Bethesda has now opened up an official Fallout 4 discussion thread over at their forums.

What is interesting about this, is that this is basically the first instance that Bethesda has basically confirmed that Fallout 4 is on the way. Why else would an official moderator be asking for feedback on the upcoming game, if they were not planning to make it?

It looks like Bethesda is looking for some ideas on the game and what’s more exciting is that the moderator is evening asking for feedback on a possible Fallout 4 co-op or multiplayer mode. If you consider yourself a Fallout fanatic, it is a good idea to head to the official boards here and read through pages and pages of discussion from other Fallout fans on topics such as gameplay tweaks and quest ideas.

Given the timing of the official discussion being opened up, it doesn’t exactly help to calm speculation that Fallout 4 is going to be announced at E3 2013 does it? Bethesda surely must know that hype is at an unprecedented stage right now and an announcement could end up being the highlight of the entire show – forget Battlefield 4 or Call of Duty Ghosts.

As long as you are not discussing child killing, it looks like all other aspects of Fallout 4 are now open for official debate. Let us know if you think Fallout 4 will be announced at E3, or if Bethesda will save it until the next Video Game Awards, like they did with Skyrim.

Those threads have been going on for years (the current one is in fact the 129th iteration). It’s basically the moderators keeping all fan speculation/suggestions in one thread – the moderators are not employed by Bethesda.

Thank you, I was going to say the same thing. these threads have been around since 2009 and it is by no means “Official”.
