When you think of Samsung, you think of market domination, along with confusion over their products. We say this because Samsung is fond of flooding the market with devices that are very similar to others from their range, and this could be about to happen to the Galaxy S4.
Just recently there were rumors of a rugged Galaxy S4 being released as soon as the summer, and now we have reason to believe that there could also be another version called the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. Personally, I feel as though this name could confuse some potential buyers, as they could assume that this will be a version of the flagship handset with an optical zoom on its camera.
You would be right to think that the S4 Zoom would be centered around the camera, as this could be Samsung’s first camera to feature a 16-megapixel sensor. We’ve already seen such a camera phone from Samsung shown off at IFA last year, but as yet it has not made it to market, so maybe 2013 could be the year?
I do hope that this rumored Galaxy S4 Zoom will not be the final name of the smartphone, because like I said above, it could be confusing, unless that’s what Samsung is aiming for, although with their long history in the courts, it’s highly unlikely.
Other specs for this so-called 16-megapixel Galaxy S4 are a 4.3-inch qHD SAMOLED display, 8GB or internal storage and up to 64GB of external via MicroSD. We are not certain on the processor, but SamMobile expects it to be of the dual-core variety.
I don’t know about you, but could this rumored device be a rival for the budget iPhone, which is also expected to make an appearance later this year?
