Samsung are not only intent on constantly improving their smartphone range to compete with Apple, but they also want a piece of the MacBook Pro pie as well, which is evident with a recent video teaser of the new 2013 Samsung Series 7 Chronos laptop refresh. The company is very serious about their Series 7 range, as they have made a number of changes to the hardware, which you can see from the specs mentioned in the video below.
With CES 2013 just days away now we are hoping that Samsung will offer more details for the Samsung Series 7 Chronos 2013 refresh, but we can tell you that there is to be a new AMD Radeon HD 8870M GPU and a RAMaccelerator, which is said to increase app loading by at least 50 percent. There’s also going to be JBL speakers and a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, but we are told that these are already features on the current 17-inch model, so these upgrades could be for the 15-inch model.
No matter how much this laptop looks like the MacBook Pro, we will have to wait and see just what the device has to offer during CES. There will be two key factors here; the 2013 Samsung Series 7 Chronos refresh price and also the full spec list as well. Okay, so some of you may be put off with Windows 8 because the OS is not to everyone’s tastes, but many of you will say that it is worth the compromise when compared to Apple’s pricing.
Would you choose the new Samsung Series 7 Chronos over a MacBook Pro? If we are to go on recent versions of this laptop then we would expect the 15-inch model to sell for around $1000, but some users would suggest that considering the specs in this sleek looking laptop, it is still overpriced, as is the MacBook Pro.
