2013 Nexus 7 2 vs. LG G Pad 8.3

Having already looked at what the 2013 Nexus 7 could be up against in terms of the proposed Kindle Fire HD 2 specs, we thought you might like to see a fairer comparison, which means pitting the 2013 Nexus 7 2 against the LG G Pad 8.3 instead.

Okay, so we know these are aimed at different markets because of the difference in screen sizes, but the Nexus 7 has proved in the past to convince people that a 7-inch display is better than 8, but will it still be the same this time around?

Having already offered you a hands-on with the LG G Pad 8.3, we thought the three videos below could help make your mind up as to which tablet is best for you.

The first video is in German, so not much use if you do not speak the language. However, what it does do is give you the opportunity to see how they compare in terms of size and build quality side-by-side.

In the second video it goes over the LG G Pad 8.3 specs, most of which seems to be better than what the new Nexus 7 has to offer, such as a larger battery, thinner bezel, larger display, faster processor, and being thinner.

However, the Nexus 7 2nd generation has a textured back, it is lighter, sports stock Android, offers direct updates and is cheaper.

Choosing between the two will be tough because they both have something great to offer, but it could come down to a simple thing for each, and that is the size for the LG G Pad 8.3 and the updates for the 2013 Nexus 7.

Just to try and confuse matters even more we have included a third video below that compares the LG G Pad 8.3 with the iPad mini and Nexus 7 (2013), although this is not a fair fight because the iPad mini 2 is due in the next month or so and could throw a cat amongst the pigeons.
