Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. iPhone 5 preceding Jelly Bean

By Daniel Chubb - Oct 16, 2012

We’ve seen a number of videos looking at the Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. iPhone 5, and we don’t expect them to end anytime soon considering the different features that can be compared, but more so because all the current tests are not taking into account the Galaxy S3 with Android’s Jelly Bean update. We’ll get to see some real world tests with Jelly Bean onboard next month, but for now we have two more videos for you focused on the iPhone 5 vs. Galaxy S3.

Markup language for Samsung’s Galaxy S3 and Apple’s iPhone 5 – it won’t be the first time you’ve heard that HTML5 is the future, and Apple users know this when their MacBook Air starts to heat up rapidly thanks to Flash content in the web browser, which is the very reason iOS doesn’t support Flash as standard and is aiming for HTML5 adoption.

HTML5 is not simply one feature and contains a lot of different items, so this means some web browsers only support certain parts of HTML5 and shows that we’ve some way to go before the feature is fully adopted. The first video below this article takes a look at the HTML5 features of both iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3, with the aim to find out which platform is the best in real world tests today?

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. iPhone 5 for HTML5 – what software and hardware is better prepared for HTML5, see the video below to find out but be warned it runs for over 20 minutes. We were pretty shocked with some aspects of the iPhone 5; especially considering Apple is one of the companies really pushing this technology.

The second video runs for a much shorter time, just over 7 minutes, and aims to compare the Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 specs overall. The reviewer focuses on the main features and design, which results in ratings for each smartphone for different areas they’ve selected. The end of the video points out that the battle is far from over with Galaxy S3’s Jelly Bean on the way, so you can expect another review from them in the coming weeks.

Do you really care about a phones ability to handle certain markup language like HTML5, and if not what would be the most important area for you when looking at the Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. iPhone 5? You can also read our recent article on the Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update reaching the Nordic region here, although we expect the United States to receive the update finally next month but some people wish Samsung would jump to Android 4.1.2 after all this time.

I would debate the scores as the S3 coming out slightly ahead based off the ridiculous thought that IOS’s lack of features and customization’s come out ahead of ICS and no comparison to Jelly Bean.

the first video is simply bogus as i compared with iphone 4, and did exactly what the expert was doing and my iphone 4 was performing better then both the phones, and i have just iphone 4 not even 4s, with A4 chip, where as iphone 5 has A6 chip which is suposedly faster then all the older iphones…. and i would like to mention also that i am not using 3g network just my office crapy wifi network… and rightnow there must be minimum 50 coworkers of mine on wifi. So in my openion this video is mocked and its justnot credible
