We have some interesting developments in the Black Ops 2 zombies scene to tell you about, as the official list of achievements and trophies have been leaked prior to release. There are some exciting achievement names down the list that will raise one or two eyebrows, including some possible hints on inevitable easter eggs that Treyarch has planted inside the game.
If you have played zombies before, you’ll know that easter eggs are a massive part of the game, with Treyarch usually including a massive hidden storyline in a particular map, which always results in a new achievement unlocked as well as a few bonus items or weapons.
We saw it in Der Riese on World at War when you had to activate the Fly Trap by shooting a glowing object in a hidden alleyway with a Pack a Punch weapon. That then unlocked an achievement and kicked off another little minigame where you had to find items scattered around the map. It’s easter eggs like this that make zombies great and you can bet that Treyarch will be thinking long and hard on what secret content you’ll have to work through to unlock the hidden goodies in Black Ops 2 zombies.
The following content is probably considered a SPOILER, so look away now if you don’t want to ruin anything during your zombies experience. An achievements list has been revealed for the game, showing all of the achievements that can be unlocked within zombies mode as well.
Looking down the list located here, there is one particular achievement by the name of ‘You Have No Power Over Me’ that catches our attention. You can see that all the other zombie achievements have descriptions by it, but the description for this just repeats the same thing twice – leading us to believe that this trophy is specifically related to an easter egg.
There’s 15 points to your GamerScore up for grabs, so it is well worth getting. It looks like there is going to be another mini-quest hidden in zombies to unlock this extra achievement and gamers will be hoping that it unlocks extra weapons too – like the Call of The Dead easter egg, which granted you the WunderWaffe amongst other goodies.
It’s early days yet, but we can’t wait to get our teeth into some of the other zombie secrets that will be coming our way soon. How good are you at solving all of the mysteries in previous zombie maps? Have you completed every single one, or do you find them difficult?
