Everybody knows that Ubisoft is preparing Assassin’s Creed 3 for release on the PS3 and Xbox 360, but the uncertainty surrounding a PC release and if it will come out the same time as console remains up for debate.
Fortunately, Ubisoft has provided a well needed update on the situation and it’s good news. The company has confirmed that a PC release is definitely in the pipeline, but also confirmed recent speculation that the PC version won’t release simultaneously with console.
When speaking at Comic Con, Assassin’s Creed III creative director Alex Hutchinson revealed that the PC version will be coming out ‘near’ to the console versions, but not on October 31 when the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions come out. The good news is that the PC version will definitely be out before the end of the year, as Hutchinson confirmed that it will release sometime before Christmas.
Are you upset about this slight delay, or was it expected for you from day one? It’s no secret that Ubisoft tends to delay their PC versions of games compared to console and fans will just prey that the company are not planning on locking the game away with some heavy DRM reinforcements.
Considering that the PC version has the potential to be the best looking version graphics wise though, we have a feeling that a few of you won’t be bothered about waiting a few more weeks while console owners get to enjoy it earlier. If you were planning to buy Assassin’s Creed 3 on PC, let us know if this delay bothers you or not.
