Extensive Diablo III 1.0.3 patch notes

By Daniel Chubb - Jun 20, 2012

While console gamers are hoping for their turn with Diablo III it seems that attention for PC owners has turned to the Diablo III 1.0.3 patch, which the full notes are pretty extensive. Normally we would list the changes or at least include a few screenshots, but considering the depth of this update that would not be possible.

If you love to read the patch notes in full then you can head over to the official page here, which includes a massive list of changes. The update is broken down into changes to Monsters, Bosses, Followers, Crafting, Items, Classes, bug fixes, and a few general categories. The update went live in the United States yesterday although users didn’t get a download prompt until it went live within their region.

The main changes within this update focus on reducing crafting and training Artisans, alter the Inferno difficulty, and make some important tweaks to high-level item drops. This massive update will affect some people more than others, especially if you managed to unlock the Inferno difficulty, so if that’s you then share a comment on how you feel about these changes.

Have you installed Diablo 3 patch v1.0.3, and if so have you had any problems since the update? If you are new to Diablo 3 then watch the video below to get an idea of the basics.

Considering you lose durability when hitting and this means you can even lose money when hitting breakables, especially considering the drops have been nerfed for them, it simply means you’ll make a big loss for hitting things and not necessarily for dying, so what do you think the solution to this is?

Since this patch, our group has given up playing. Having a level 50+character is not viable anymore. Your pick’up in ‘inworld gold’ has dropped off the chart completely, while your hard earned dedication driven gold is sucked up fast and furiously in preparing your items, making it worthless to play on those levels.
Your Armour and weapon attributes has been cut in half, thus making the ‘older players’ who’s been wading through system crashes, inability to connect and general pandamonium surrounding the game release – rather angry and annoyed at the fact that they have to pack it up or cough up real world money. Sadly, that is the end of our gaming on Diablo III, we’ve all been waiting on pre-order since we heard about it being released… we’ve all put up with the troubles … and now we give up. Our game has been spoiled terribly. It’s a shame.. for most part we enjoyed it.

The 1.0.3 patch reset all my vidoe, sound, etc. options to default.
Also the only cinematic available is the original. I’m halfway through act 3 and seem to have lost all the prior movie cut scenes!…Any info on this mess!
