Jet Set Radio proves future is bright for PS Vita

We have some fantastic news for PS Vita owners now, as SEGA has just confirmed that the upcoming Jet Set Radio HD remake will be coming to the PS Vita as well. Just like the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, you’ll now be able to opt for a lovely PS Vita version this Summer as well.

Back in February when the news first surfaced about the remake coming out, we voiced our disappointment on the fact that a PS Vita version wasn’t initially listed alongside the console versions. We also said Jet Set Radio would be a perfect fit on the 5-inch OLED screen and it’s really pleasing that SEGA now feels the same way.

Aside from a port of the original Dreamcast classic, SEGA has also announced that the PS Vita version will include some platform-specific features, with the camera already confirmed to play a part. Just like the console version as well, it looks like PS Vita owners will be introduced to the classic soundtrack from the original game as well which should be well appreciated. Having said that, there may also be the option of playing custom music while skating around as well which would be an added bonus.

There’s no set date yet, but we expect this to be revealed at E3 since after all, Summer is just around the corner as well. It is really looking up for the PS Vita now, with the likes of Call of Duty, a Castlevania game, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and maybe even an Assassin’s Creed 3 game on the way too.
