For those of you that were interested in the Droid RAZR MAXX but decided against picking one up, we may have some news that will be of interest to you. The next rumored smartphone to join the growing Droid family is thought to be called the Droid Fighter and some new information has revealed that it could be packing an amazing battery.
If this is the first time you have heard about the device, let us fill you in with the important details. The Droid Fighter is thought to be packing Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, making it Motorola’s very first ICS device. Other specs include a 4.6-inch display screen which is meant to be 720p HD quality and on-screen touch buttons, essentially making it a lot like the RAZR MAXX.
In a way, this handset will perhaps end up being the smartphone that should have really been the RAZR MAXX from the start if that makes sense. The RAZR MAXX doesn’t have an HD screen nor does it come with Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, but what the two handsets will share is superior battery life.
The RAZR MAXX comes with that currently unrivaled 3300 mAh battery, but information posted on a Hong Kong forum reveals that the Droid Fighter may be the next Verizon arrival with a 3300 mAh battery as well. It will also be another 4G LTE compatible device and could even be landing on April 12 if this leak by Droid-Life is correct.
As we mentioned at the start, this handset should be ideal for those that missed out on the RAZR MAXX, but if you do own that handset, there doesn’t appear to be too many reasons to upgrade to this one. Motorola seems to be churning out these Droid variants by the month, but really they need to be working on a quad-core Droid smartphone next – let’s hope they are.
