2012 Concept Cars: Back to the Future For Jaguar

When it comes to 2012 concept cars we can look at them in two ways, those that are shown this year with no real release in mind, and those that were shown as concept cars in the past and are now about to appear in 2012.

You may remember the Detroit Auto Show in 2007, and more specifically the Jaguar C-XF concept that wowed the crowd. It now looks like we’ll see this car as a 2012 production vehicle, in the name of the 2012 Jaguar XF.

Jaguar is going back to the future by tweaking the XK for 2012. The XJ had a revamp for 2010, which saw improved engine performance more like the concept car in 2007, and now we’ve the promise of improved looks for 2012.

The improvement was said to be “more like the C-XF” concept, according to the chief designer of the XF, Wayne Burgess. He also added that the technology has caught up in 2012, which is expected to deliver on the features of the 2007 concept.

Take a look at some more photos and insight into the 2012 Jaguar on Auto Blog, which shows the Jaguar C-XF concept and other cars. Also visit this article to read about 2013 concept cars, a future models list and Ford Taurus.
