Skyrim Collector’s Edition now available with huge discount

If you have yet to pick up a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for whatever reason, now may be the time to do so. The Collector’s Edition of Skyrim is now selling for a heavily discounted price online, as gamers can now get a copy for under $100.

Current Collector’s Edition owners are probably very happy with their copy of Skyrim right now, regardless of the fact that they paid $150 for it. The big incentive for buying is a 12-inch Alduin dragon statue, while the official Skyrim Art Book and ‘Making of DVD’ are certainly great additions as well.

Now though, if you head to online retailer NewEgg, you will find that that they are now selling the Collector’s Edition of Skyrim for just $94.99, with free delivery, as reported by Examiner. Best of all, this applies to all three versions of the game (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) and will give you an instant $55 saving from the online price upon checkout.

You won’t need us to tell you that this is a pretty amazing deal for a game that has just been confirmed as the official 2011 Game of The Year. Of course there has been well documented issues with all three platforms of the game, but the underlying factor remains that Skyrim is still an amazing experience that nobody should miss out on.

We’re not sure how long this deal will be live for and there’s no word on if this is some sort of NewEgg Christmas deal. If you are interested in picking this up though, don’t hang around too long. For those of you that have already forked out $150 at launch for a Collector’s Edition – we feel your pain. Maybe you can send a Tweet to Pete Hines and let him know about this. Another positive factor for all new buyers is that you’ll be getting a version of Skyrim which has already been given a fair amount of patch updates, which should make your adventure less frustrating in comparison to those who picked the game up at launch.
