GTA V: Animation graphics preview on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC?

Battlefield 3 has just launched in the US, but all the excitement has switched to Rockstar’s bombshell announcement over the last few days that Grand Theft Auto V is coming. A trailer will be unveiled early next month, but we have a video for you to check out which could give an example of graphics quality in the game.

It has been revealed thanks to an excellent article over at StickTwiddlers, that a professional animator in the industry is now working on a T.B.A game from Rockstar North, but there’s more. This animator, named as Jim Jagger has a very impressive C.V as an animator, having previously designed animations for classics such as the Tony Hawks Pro Skater games, and also with Sony for Eyepet and with Ubisoft for Splinter Cell and Far Cry titles.

One game in particular stands out though, his most recent game called Eight Days. This game was actually cancelled by Sony a few years ago, but not before trailers and animation demos were released, most notably at E3 2006. It is within these videos that we get an idea of the type of graphics and animation that Jim Jagger is working on – and it could be a vital piece of the puzzle in getting an early sneak peek at the type of quality we can expect to see in Grand Theft Auto V.

Aside from the fact that Eight Days looked highly impressive (Why was it cancelled Sony?!), the animation quality is pretty breathtaking and easily on par with, or even better than Uncharted 3 which also features excellent animations as you’ll know. Rockstar has already confirmed that a trailer will be going live on November 2nd, so we don’t have to wait long to find out if this story has any truth to it – but it seems logical.

Take a look at both clips below and let us know if you would like to see similar animations and graphics in Grand Theft Auto V or not.
