FIFA 12: PC demo – Installation problems after download?

By Alan Ng - Sep 14, 2011

If you are a big FIFA fan, there is little doubt that the last 24 hours has been pretty exciting for you, well if you’re an Xbox 360 owner that is. PS3 owners are still waiting for a solid PS3 release time for the FIFA 12 demo, and although the demo is also out on PC, we’ve been hearing that one or two of you may be having problems installing it.

Firstly, if you are still looking for the FIFA 12 demo download for PC, you can find the link to it over at Fileplanet here. The demo weighs in at 1.5GB which isn’t a problem but you may want to uninstall any copy of FIFA 11 that you may still have on your system.

A report we’ve read over at PCGames.de has stated that users may have problems installing the FIFA 12 demo if FIFA 11 is installed on your PC. Uninstalling FIFA 11 is proving to be a temporary solution for those who have tried this, but we’re still hearing that some of you are having problems getting the demo to run afterwards. The good thing to note here, is that this appears to be an isolated issue which is only affecting a small amount of PC users – so not everyone.

Another problem which we have read about is the issues encountered with the demo whenever one or more gamepads are connected to the PC whilst the demo is running. If you have experienced this problem or any installation problems like the one listed above, get in touch with us below.

The PS3 demo looks to be arriving at any moment, so it is worth checking the PS Store constantly to see if it’s up yet. Whispers on the internet are suggesting that it is already available for US gamers, while those of you in the UK will receive it around 5pm.
