Mortal Kombat fans have only just been treated to the Kenshi DLC character, but now it looks like another DLC character is on the way shortly, separate from Rain and the other mystery character that have already been revealed by NetherRealm Studios.
The information has come from none other than Mortal Kombat co-creator himself Ed Boon, as he has been busying replying to fan questions on his Twitter account, and it looks like his self-excitement may have revealed more details than expected.
Without further ado, hints on Boon’s Twitter account appears to confirm that Mortal Kombat character Tanya will soon be joining the growing roster for the brutal beat-em-up. For those of you who aren’t aware, Tanya was first seen in Mortal Kombat 4 and then featured in the Mortal Kombat Deception and Armageddon games.
When asked on Twitter that Ed Boon simply needs to put Tanya into Mortal Kombat 9, he revealed a hint that can only be deciphered as a possible inclusion for her in the game. Check out the message below for yourself, as reported from Gamepur:
” RT @Leo__Roberts @noobde I DEMAND that you make Tanya DLC Noobde: Well then it looks like that’s what has to be done!”.
Ed Boon has even retweeted that message so that everyone can see it, and there’s further hints about Tanya’s inclusion in the game as you can see below:
”RT @byakuganeye Outstanding job with the dlc so far, please don’t mess it up adding Tanya. Cool characters only! Noobde: No you DIDN’T!”
So if that isn’t a huge hint that Tanya will be included in Mortal Kombat 9, we’re not sure what is quite frankly. As we mentioned above, it looks like Tanya will be separate to Rain and the other DLC character coming, so fans could expect a possible further three characters to enter the game over the next few months.
On a side note, we think it’s great that Ed Boon takes the time out of his busy schedule to interact with Mortal Kombat fans on his Twitter account. It’s not often that you get game leaks direct from the co-creator of a game, so it’s a obvious sign that Boon is just as much a fan as everyone else of the game and his interaction with the fans is his way of ‘giving something back’ if you like, for the support shown towards the game.
What are your thoughts on Tanya being included in the game – do you welcome the idea or not? If you would prefer someone else to be included in the game, let us know who you want to see. How are you finding Kenshi at the moment – mastered all of his moves yet?
