The Samsung Galaxy S II has been out a while now in the UK. We previously brought you news of when the device knocked the iPhone 4 of the top of the weekly sales chart. The popular smartphone from the Korean based company is still yet to make an appearance in the US.
Despite this, the news we have today reveals that it will be heading over to North America as early as next month but not to the U.S instead it will be appearing at their northern neighbors, Canada. The news comes from a tweet on twitter from Canadian carriers SaskTel.
It was thought that Verizon were likely going to be the first carrier in North America to get the Galaxy S II but the announcement means SaskTel will be the first carrier. Though it is not confirmed that this announcement means other North American carriers will be getting the smartphone too, we can expect the others to get it pretty soon after.
We will do our best to keep you up to date with the U.S release, in the meantime you can check out the article at Electronista for more details on the device and the confirmation from SaskTel.
Will you be getting the Samsung Galaxy S II when it appears stateside?
