Splashtop optimizes with NVIDIA, Intel, Qualcomm and more

The multimedia performance advances as Splashtop optimizes with NVIDIA, Intel, Qualcomm and more.

It has been announced today that Splashtop Inc., have been working with chip manufacturers NVIDIA, Intel, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Freescale, and Intel to optimize Splashtop Remote Desktop software performance. The highly ranked application has gone to great heights as an iPad app purchased in Apple’s App Store in the U.S.

Splashtop has gained more download participants than Apple’s angry birds. Collaborating with top chip manufacturers has helped its software performance on CPUs and GPUs like the NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 dual-core processor and GeForce graphics processor. A sustained rate of 30 frames per second and very low latency was demonstrated in benchmarking tests.

Other products have seen average rates between two and six frames per second that means falling about 80 to 95 percent of the frames, with videos looking more like slideshows. Making general lag times 2-10 times longer than Splashtop. The remote desktop software could collect users with a range of devices and cloud services, with a free Streamer running on the computer and an app on mobile devices.

With great multimedia performance Splashtop, optimizing with Intel, Qualcomm and more is good news for the future. For more details on benchmarking tests, watch the video on YouTube.
