Battlefield 3 PC requirements – minimum and recommended

By Jamie Pert - Jun 5, 2011

One of 2011’s most highly anticipated first-person shooters is undoubtedly Battlefield 3, for those of you who will be looking to buy the PC version of the game you will be glad to hear that we have finally uncovered what we believe to be the game’s minimum and recommended specifications.

According to Battlefield 3’s minimum requirements are as follows: an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz processor (or equivalent), 2GB of RAM, and a GeForce 7800 GT / ATI X1900 GPU with 256MB of graphics memory. You need to be running Windows XP and have at least 10GB of free space for the disc version, if you will be buying the digital version you need 15GB of free space.

We are also led to believe to meet the game’s recommended requirements you will need a Quad Core processor, 2GB of RAM, a graphics card like the GeForce GTX 260 (with 512MB of RAM) and either Windows Vista or Windows 7. The free space requirements are the same as mentioned in the previous paragraphs.

At the moment we have heard no confirmation of the game’s requirements from EA, therefore we don’t know how accurate this information is, however to us the specs mentioned by sound pretty believable.
