PSN Maintenance: Preparations before PlayStation Store back online

By Gary Johnson - May 27, 2011

We already know when parts of Asia can expect to see the PlayStation Network available again. A few days ago the system was taken down for planned maintenance with many hoping the PS Store will come back online. Now we have some news of more PSN Maintenance for preparations before the PlayStation Store is back online.

The company has confirmed via its official PlayStation Blog that the maintenance takes place at 19:00 GMT on May 31st, it will end at 01:00 GMT on June 1st. You won’t be able to log on during that period so make sure if you are planning on playing online that you are logged in before the start time.

Now this news will raise hopes of the PlayStation Store becoming available which Sony themselves said should be back by the end of this month. If that’s the case they will be just going over the time which they said depending on where you live. But after all this time an extra couple of hours won’t make much difference.

They have listed the features which will be unavailable during the downtime which include PC Registration, Console Storefront, PS3 Account Management, PS3 Network Account Registration, PSP Network Account Registration, and Qriocity Account Management.

Do you think the PlayStation Store will be back next week?
