PlayStation Store online status unknown, Sony unwilling to commit to date

We have some more feedback to share with you now, following on from the surprising, or unsuprising admission from Sony that the PlayStation Store will not come back online today as many had expected. Instead, gamers are back to square one it seems – i.e not knowing a solid date for when they will be able to make use of the store again.

We understand that there’s going to be a lot of you who will argue that Sony never actually officially announced a date in the first place for the return of the store, but still when it has been reported everywhere on the internet by major game sites that the PlayStation Store will be back online on May 24th, you tend to jump on board with open arms don’t you?

Sadly though, the store isn’t coming back online yet, and although Sony felt the need to clarify this on the official PlayStation Blog, they once again failed to give a solid date for when everything will be back to normal. Of course it’s disappointing, but we’re sure most of you can hold on for another week. The company are still sticking to their guns on a ‘end of May’ deadline for the PS Store, so let’s pray that nothing major happens in the next week.

Where do you stand on this? Are you a PS3 gamer who is really disappointed with Sony for not keeping the community up to date, or are you a patient gamer, who believes that everyone was ‘stupid’ to believe rumors that the service would be back up on May 24th in the first place. We’re eagerly awaiting feedback on how you feel.
