PlayStation Network FAQ And Affects On Releases

By Peter Chubb - May 16, 2011

Throughout yesterday Sony slowly brought PSN back up online, but as you know things never went smoothly; having said that the past three weeks have not either. Now it is finally time for some closure with a PlayStation Network FAQ. Finally there will be questions answered, such as what releases were affected by the downtime?

Before we take a look at some of the questions, we now have details on the Welcome Back Package. We just hope that you feel that Sony has done enough? In the FAQ Sony has explained just what is working on PSN and what is not, we know that most features are now working, but we will still have to wait a while for the PlayStation Store to resume.

Those of you who are still having an issue with changing your password and waiting for emails, then Sony offers some tips, which you can find on the PlayStation Blog. However, just remember how many people are trying to do the same thing as you.

During the downtime there were three online games that missed their release; Sony will make good by launching these at an accelerated rate once the PSN Store is back up online. Also you do not have to worry about having missed out on double XP for Call of Duty: Black Ops, as Sony is in talks with Treyarch. Expect more details on this shortly.

These are just some of the questions being asked, but what would you like to add?

i already have all these games. not the best selection. c'mon Sony, please do better than that. $30 games, not $20 PSN titles.

To be honest I think Sony are being more than fair. I didn’t expect anything off them for something that wasn’t their fault.

WHat are the tree games? One of them is Beyond good and Evil HD I know, but what are the other two?
