FreezerView 1.0: Turn your iPad into a freezer organizer

By Gary Johnson - May 16, 2011

A really clever application which will help users keep on top of their food contents in the freezer has recently been released. FreezerView 1.0 is available for owners of the iPad and will save owners time and money.

Released by Input Squared, the application turns owner’s iPad into a clever freezer organizer. Users get an overview of their freezers content, and allow them to locate items within seconds. The app also gives a warning before food reaches its use by date.

Many people have lots of food that gets pushed to the back of their freezer, with stuff that gets forgotten about. Users start by choosing a freezer that looks similar to their own, and then add items by naming them and assigning a container type and color.

The app automatically records the date when the items are added, and will alert you after a set period. Once an item has been added it can easily be moved or put into another container. It has also received many good reviews from users.

FreezerView 1.0 is available worldwide on the App Store for only $1.99/£1.19. iOS 4.0 or later required.

Although your application is very useful I have a little problem using it. Usually in the freezer I have a few pieces of the same product. So when one peace is removed from the freezer I have to delete it from the program immediately, because after a few days I do not remember whether I wiped it or not, and that can not be verified because the program does not have a history of deleted products. The application would be even better if it had control over the deleted items such is history or recycle bin.
