If you own a Windows Phone 7 device and you’re a regular USA Today reader, then you’ll be really pleased to know that the official USA Today app has now arrived on the WP7 platform. What’s even better is the fact that the news application is available to download for free.

As Jim Szymanski over at recently reported, the recently released USA Today application enables users to browse and read stories from a variety of sections including news, sports, money, life, tech and even travel, so there’s something for everyone.

The app will even allow you to share stories with friends and family via text message or email, as well as through Facebook or Twitter. This is a great app for sports fans, as it will provide them with access to the latest scores for sports such as MLB, NFL, college football, NHL and college basketball.

USA Today also provides its users with live weather conditions, as well as a five-day forecast for their current location. Users will also be able to review national weather maps, including temperature and precipitation forecasts. You also have the ability to flick through the day’s best photos.

Do you own a Windows Phone 7 device? If so, will you be downloading the official USA Today application?
