Brammo Empulse Release delayed due to Transmission Tech Update

Having brought you some exciting news last week about the Brammo electric motorcycle range with the announcement of two new bikes, the Encite and Engage, we now are afraid to say we have some disappointing news in regards to Brammo’s motorcycles.

It seems the company’s flagship model’s release date is about to be pushed back due to a decision to update the Transmission technology. When we first brought you the news of Brammo’s Empulse it was reported that it would be making an appearance this summer. However the delay means we won’t be seeing it until next year now.

The decision came from Craig Bramscher, citing CEO. It is speculated that the new technology which is to be integrated into the Empulse before release is something to do with the six-speed IET (Integrated Electric Transmission) a technology which will feature on the Encite and Engage.

According to an article at Asphalt and Rubber the delay may also be due to the company not reaching the pre-order target of 1000 motorcycles forcing some changes and tweaks to be made. What do you think the delay is due to? Will you be waiting to get your hands on the brand new Brammo? Let us know in the comments below.
