By Tina Chubb - May 3, 2011

A few weeks ago we brought you a trailer for BioWare’s upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, which gave us a glimpse at some of the upgrades that can be earned with the Jedi Knight class. Now we have a new character progression trailer for you.

According to a recent article over on the website, both BioWare and LucasArts have just released a brand new progression trailer, which gives fans an idea of the armor and abilities that a player can achieve when taking on the role of a Sith Warrior.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a story-driven MMO that’s set thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader. The game will enable players to step into the shoes of a number of Star Wars classes including Imperial Agent, the Bounty Hunter and the Trooper.

Players will be able to make decision that will not only define their personal story, but also determine the path they take down the light or dark side of the Force. Gamers will befriend companions along their way, who will either fight at their side or betray them based on their actions.

Although we don’t know a specific release date at this stage, we will inform you when we do hear news on one. Are you looking forward to the arrival of the Star Wars: The Old Republic game?

This is the only mmo that will get me back to gaming on the pc! After playing WoW for years and trying several other mmo's, which for me lacked longevity, I stowed my mouse and keyboard and succumbed to the lure of the ps3 and black ops online. 20 days later the psn goes down for over 2 weeks ( I am cursed ). It looks like bioware are using a similar format to dragon age 2 (very enjoyable game) and if the rumours were true and it was to come out on may the fourth (haha) I think Sony would be changing their trousers, as gamers of a certain age would be jumping ship! The game looks fantastic and if the lore is good and from what I have seen it will be, then this could be the mmo to dwarf WoW. Last rumour I saw was release date could be sept. 2011 anyone know any different?
